Stop in at these tally rallies throughout the weekend...

photoThe Delmarva Birding Weekend is more than a great opportunity to see unique local birds... it is also a time to meet unique local birders! Join us to swap birding stories, chat with local guides, and add to the master checklist for the weekend at one of these "tally rallies". (There is no fee for attending a tally rally, but food & drinks will be available for purchase).

Beer, Birds & Bocce Tally Rally
Thursday, April 24 5-7 p.m
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in historic Milton, Delaware

Join other DBW participants for some fun and fellowship at a local favorite - the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in historic Milton, Delaware. Dogfish Head is renowned for its awardwinning specialty ales that offer both unique character and terrific taste. The brew master will open the taps for you to sample some of the latest selections. The brewery is also home to the "Intergalactic Bocce Ball Tournament" and the courts will be available for you to try your hand at the game!

Tally Rally in the Kent Narrows

Fisherman's Crab Deck along the Kent Narrows

Join other DBW participants for some fun and fellowship at a local favorite - the Fisherman's Crab Deck along the Kent Narrows in Queen Anne's County. Check the tally to see what's been flying at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, Terrapin Beach Nature Park, Adkins Arboretum and Tuckahoe State Park!

Join other DBW participants for some fun and fellowship at a local favorite - the Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. From pizzas, steaks and seafood grilled over oak and hickory logs, to a complete line of original Dogfish Head ales and spirits, Dogfish Head wants you to remember and enjoy every aspect of your visit. They strive to create a place where you can relax, enjoy great food & drink, listen to live, original music, and have a good time with your birding friends or family.

Ocean City Tally Rally
Saturday, April 26 4-6 p.m
Angler Restaurant, Talbot St. on the Bay, Ocean City, Maryland

After a full day of field trips, you can help add species to the master checklist that is kept for the Delmarva Birding Weekend. This event begins just after the Shore Bird Explorer trip returns to the Talbot Street Pier at 4 p.m. Free hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available to all DBW participants.

Pocomoke City Tally Rally
Saturday, April 26 4-6 p.m
Delmarva Discovery Center in Pocomoke City, Maryland

After a full day of field trips, you can help add species to the master checklist that is kept for the Delmarva Birding Weekend. This event begins just after the Bay Queen trip returns to the Pocomoke City dock at 4 p.m. Get a behind-the-scenes peek at the new Delmarva Discovery Center on the Pocomoke River, scheduled to open in summer 2008. Nearby restaurants offer dinner options before heading out on your night trips.
